  some time ago, i wrote an extensive article on shunning and published it on my website.

  since that website had views on doctrinal matters that no longer reflect my current stand, i took the website down.

  however, my views on this matter are still current, and for the benefit of everyone here, i'm going to post the article here.

  Thank you, umbertoecho!

  It is so very interesting, and a GIANT piece of the puzzle to hear how people are reacting to the things going on in Australia, as we hopefully shall soon see things happening in other lands.

  It also gives us insight as to how WT reacts to such events, and possible further actions that they may take.

  PS: I think that everyday ordinary jdubs are so busy on their hamster wheels, that until they are connected to reality.... moving to different KHalls, being told one thing, while experiencing another.... they just do not perceive reality.... and when they do get a glimpse... the cogs in their brain start turning..... Glad you gave us some insight!

  Perhaps this girl came forward because she had heard off the ARC, and wanted to protect others... In the past, many would wonder if they even had a chance to be LISTENED to...

  Now, as society/ courts become more aware of the harm that comes, and more people, in general, are voicing their concerns, the time for reform may be here...

  what would your understanding be on this subject after reading the statement below?.

  Good find! When elders "step down" or are "removed" they (the rest of the elders) want the Shepherd book back! I am not sure what would happen if you "just said no"? I guess you could say that "you lost it" ;-)

  What I would love to see is a bunch of exJW's surround this guy (and others like him) and just laugh so hard when they say these stupid things, I would love to see them face REALITY!

  Usually, JW's are just talking to JW's....Everyone knods their heads... This guy just has a video camera to talk to... It won't talk back to him, he cannot hear the audience laughing. Is everyone nowadays just thinking, "Can I keep my job? Can I make it to Warwick?"

  Dont Give Them More Power Than They Deserve

  a new montra that was recently adopted by the wife and i is this:.

  dont give them more power than they deserve.. here's why i say that, and i point this to those of you still in the congregation, still trying to decide what you want to do.. recently, our family had a little family reunion gathering of sorts, and we were in the company of some extended family that were either df or da, to varying degrees.

  we made it very clear, to any and all in attendance, that we wanted to be respectful and kind, despite any previous perceptions about our "status".... and that our feelings on a lot of things had "softened", and "changed" over the last 2 years.. i am being purposefully slightly vague, but i think you get the point.

  Good pic OutLaw! Haha! I'd rather read the humor here, on this board than EVEN HAVE TO THINK about "preparing for field service"

  Yikes, my brain just starting hurting soooooo bad when I 'glossed over' that pioneer school meeting! Ahhhhhhh, run away, run away!
